Charactistics and things of interest: Our only information about this creature comes from fossil teeth. It's skeleton was made of cartilage and not bone so it has not been preserved. The strange and unique spiral or whorl of about 180 teeth fit in the mouth in some fashion but just how is a subject of the imagination for now. The whorl was about 26 cm (10 inches) across.
